Pastor Randall did not grow up in church as a child. He became a Christian in 1979 after a rebellious youth at the age of 20. He surrendered to the ministry shortly after he and Sherrie married in 1985. Randall graduated from Criswell College in Dallas, Texas with a BA in Biblical Studies and worked on graduate studies at Trinity Evangelical Seminary and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In 1991, Randall and his family moved to Pagosa Springs where they lived for 4 years. In January 1994, Randall accepted a position as Area Director for Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) and served in that position for the next five and a half years. In 1995, Randall and his family moved to Ignacio and in January 1998, Randall and his family made Ignacio Community Church (ICC) their church home. In September 1999, he resigned from CEF and became the Associate Pastor of ICC.
Randall became Chaplain of the La Plata County Jail with Good News Jail and Prison Ministry in 2001 and continued to serve as Associate Pastor at ICC on a part-time basis for the next 6 years as he served in the jail.
In January 2007 Randall became the Pastor of ICC and resigned his
position as the chaplain at the La Plata County Jail. Randall and his wife, Sherrie, have been married since 1985, and have five sons; Matthew lives in Seoul, South Korea with his wife Susan. John Mark lives in
Durango. Jeremiah is at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs,
Benjamin is in Heaven and Nicolas is a 10th grader at Bayfield High School .
